Description PF4Public 2019-06-22 17:24:31 UTC
Currently app-office/libreoffice depends on media-fonts/liberation-fonts.
Wouldn't it be better if it depended on virtual/ttf-fonts instead?

Well, now we have a deterministic minimum font set. Which is nice...

You can always install additional fonts.

The issue with media-fonts/liberation-fonts is quite the opposite: I do not use them and I do not need them, but they got pulled in by libreoffice nonetheless. There are better alternatives in virtual/ttf-fonts.

Yes but you may want to work together with other people, and exchange documents.

So, to sum up. Even thought I've clearly indicated that I do *not* need those fonts, you're trying to convince me, that I do?
K, whatever.
