Never filed a bug report before, but I'm installing Gentoo on my new laptop tomorrow and would like to have the updated vaapi drivers available without running my own ebuild or *9999 version. 19.2.0 will be out soon, but perhaps updating x11-libs/libva-intel-media driver and related packages like media-libs/intel-mediasdk to 19.1.0 would be a good start. I see some bug issues filed against media-libs/intel-mediasdk about compile errors, so testing out a new update and resolving them would be beneficial to making both of these packages stable eventually.
19.2.0 is stable.
I failed with -9999 about a month ago because of https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=670152. Is it fixed?
Aas a replication of x11-libs/libva-intel-media-driver-18.4.1.ebuild, x11-libs/libva-intel-media-driver-19.3 builds fine here, requiring media-libs/gmmlib-9999 though.

Building the latest release 19.4.0r succeeds with libva-2.6.1, requiring >= libva-2.6.0.
I am closing this as obsolete. Please move to 20.1.1.
