Installing cracklib gives us: /usr/lib/cracklib_dict.hwm /usr/lib/cracklib_dict.pwd /usr/lib/cracklib_dict.pwi Yet these files don't appear in the "qlist cracklib" output, which causes portage to classify these files as orphans.
I believe this is by-design: those files are generated by the "create-cracklib-dict" in pkg_postinst. The sysadmin is also able to run this program on-demand if they need to regenerate the dictionary after creating a custom word list.
