I am having the exact same problem with the gentoo 1.4 update. The problem still appears to be in gcc3.2 I am using the folowwing compiler flags: CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=pentium3 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" CXXFLAGS="-march=pentium3 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer"
i believe this is fixed now
