I'm a newbie and I've found your doc quite good for all sections except for the part "Preparate the disks"... what I've liked to found was :
what about a /boot in a logical partition ?
what about a /boot not in the first block ?
what about two bootable partitions ?
what about the sign "+" found after the ending blocks ?
How to know wich partition is logical, primary or extended with fdisk ?
hope this will improve the product !
Steps to Reproduce:
The partitioning inside the handbook is an example of which we know all users can use without problems. You're free to use /boot on a separate partition (or in no partition at all); you can even dismiss /boot and use net booting. Or have everything within an EVMS container.
ok with you this part is an example... and maybe an example with an existing windows would be better (these are most of the cases happening)...
for a newbie it is important to know
that you can have two boot partitions, that you can have your boot partition in a logical partition (missing information)...
and it would be good to describe how to know if existing partitions are primary or logical or extended...
ok that's details but the details make the success !
in all cases thanks for all !
