In brief:  v1.82 of policyd is MASSIVELY outdated and its README file states that it has never been tested against a MySQL release newer than 4.x.  That was probably over 20 years ago.  The listed upstream site, http://policyd.sf.net/, now redirects to https://wiki.policyd.org/documentation, which appears to indicate that the current release is v2.0.14, and that *that* release dates from 2013.

On the basis of this and a quick look at the database schemas, this package is at best hopelessly antiquated, at worst possibly actively harmful, probably completely incompatible with any remotely supported MySQL branch, and should be either rebased on a current version, or masked.
