Description Jules Gagnon 2004-10-17 14:09:25 UTC
When I boot, after Activating EVMS2, I get a serie of error: calling "unlink" in "GLOBAL" but all seems ok. evms-2.3.4-r1 didn't produce these errors.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. upgrade to evms-2.4.0
2. reboot
3. look boot messages after Activating EVMS2...

Actual Results:
It prints a lot of :
error: calling "unlink" in "GLOBAL"

probably one error per EVMS volume (about 10 in my case)

Expected Results:
no error during boot.

Portage 2.0.50-r11 (2004.2, gcc-3.3.4, glibc-2.3.4.20040808-r1, 2.4.25-gentoo-r9)

That's a devfsd error... your devfsd config is calling unlink from a GLOBAL statement, presumably one related to the evms nodes.
Comment 2 Jules Gagnon 2004-10-25 07:45:36 UTC
Ok.. thank you for the precision. Should the bug be assigned to somebody else?

And if it helps I use devfsd-1.3.25-r8.
Comment 3 Daniel Drake (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-20 12:04:40 UTC
This is a devfs deficiency, you can safely ignore those messages (they appear to be harmless..)
