Description Nicolas Laplante 2004-10-16 14:38:43 UTC
Using mysql-administrator-1.0.12, adding/modifying/deleting users crashes the application. Also, trying to create/select/modify/delete a backup profile crashes the app too.

The only message I get is "Segmentation fault".

Here's my emerge info:

Reproducible: often
Things to do to show off the bug:
1. fire up mysql-administrator and connect to server
2. select User administration
3. Try to add/modify/delete user --> crash!

I'll close this bug once a new version is out.
Comment 2 Aaron Hagopian 2004-10-20 11:44:43 UTC
mysql-administrator-1.0.13 is out
Comment 3 Nicolas Laplante 2004-10-20 16:23:31 UTC
It doesn't crash in the user administration anymore, but it still crashes in the Backup section...
Comment 4 Sven Wegener gentoo-dev 2004-10-22 10:19:56 UTC
I just created several backup profiles with different settings and I didn't
receive a segfault with mysql-administrator-1.0.13. Are you using any special
options for your backup profile?
Comment 5 Nicolas Laplante 2004-10-22 11:15:27 UTC
Just hitting "New project..." in the Backup section OR selecting a profile gives me a segfault.
Comment 6 Sven Wegener gentoo-dev 2004-10-22 16:02:39 UTC
There is already a bug filed on the backup profile segfault issue. I didn't notice
it because it was assigned to our mysql team but they don't maintain mysql-administrator.
Further discussion on the backup profile segfault issue will take place in the
other bug.
