media-libs/opencv was pulled in during my attempt to build KDEnlive. However, I got a build error (build log attached), with the key line being:

#error -- unsupported GNU version! gcc versions later than 7 are not supported!

However, GCC7 is available, as it was pulled in by the same build.

Why did you store a single file in a tar archive? Did you know you can simply run `xz file` to compress it without using tar at all?

Again, setting the correct GCC version for CUDA is your own responsibility.
