Description Lindsay Haisley 2004-10-10 14:06:27 UTC
Running the command

gnome-help info:some_info_doc

used to bring up an interactive browse of the requested info document. Now this command goes into an infinite loop opening up blank gnome-help windows. The loop doesn't block on each invocation, so it continues opening up blank windows until available memory is exhausted or I manage to kill all the running processes (sometimes hundreds of them!) from a terminal elsewhere on my LAN.

Comment 1 Lindsay Haisley 2004-10-10 14:16:43 UTC
This problem happens with both yelp-2.6.1 and yelp-2.6.2
Comment 2 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-06 03:57:51 UTC
jost a heads-up i can confirm this, just haven't had the time to look at it.

should probably go upstream.

http://bugs.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146062

please if you push it upstream, provide the link back here.

Apperantly this got fixed upstream, but 2.9.x seems so much rewritten we can't get a useful patch for the 2.8 series. Leaving the version in Gentoo broken for now.
