Description Craig Bradney 2004-10-07 16:23:22 UTC
There are build failures on packages like cups (bug 66668) and libungif because of autoconf, I think, based on http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=233752

There might be more packages that fail, but as Im setting up a new PC, I havent come across them all.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge sync
2. emerge cups
3. emerge libungif

Actual Results:
sorry cant paste from local as its --- over there >, but from the forum note,
which is the same:
>>> Unpacking cups-1.1.20-source.tar.bz2 to /var/tmp/portage/cups-1.1.20-r3/work
 * Applying disable-strip.patch...                                        [ ok ]
 * Applying cups-1.1.20-str633.patch...                                   [ ok ]

 * Applying str920.patch...                                               [ ok ]

I marked this major.. one of the wonderful benefits of Gentoo is to get the system up to X11 running, then do an emerge KDE (for example) and come back a few hours later and its done. This totally breaks that.
