Just completed a stage 1 install. When I trued to emerge cups, I got this error: "FATAL ERROR: Autoconf version 2.50 or higher is required for this script" Of course autoconf-2.59-r4 is installed, and re-emerging autoconf didn't change anything. Everything else has compiled normally, including emerging kde with USE="-cups" Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install gentoo 2. emerge cups 3. same here.. WANT_AUTOCONF_2_5=1 emerge cups will make it happen..
same with libungif
same problem with gnome-spell. WANT_AUTOCONF_2_5=1 works with all three for me too - thanks.

Add bug 66683 (libungif) to that list.
I guess libungif doesn't go to printing team, at first I thought it was the start of a list of autoconf troubled ebuilds. I can't find a general bug for this, is this something that will have to be worked out for each ebuild, or a bigger problem I should open a bug for?
