Description fabio oliveira 2004-10-04 07:05:03 UTC
When Nautilus is launched, gst-thumbnail enters the scene to create a thumbail of movie and image currently at the folder. Sometimes, after it is done, gst-thumbnail "hangs" and the cpu usage remains at 99%. One then has to go and manually kill the process. This occurs even after the Nautilus window is closed.

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Nautilus whit the option "Show thumbnails" turned on
2.Navigate to a folder that has images in it
3.Wait untill all thumbnails are seen

Actual Results:
The cpu usage climbs to 99% and stays there untill the gst-thumbnails process is
killed.

Expected Results:
Finish creating the thumbnails, and shut itself down.

we dont install nautilus-media by default anymore because of it's instability. I'd suggest you remove it for now if it isn't working.
