While app-admin/abrt-2.0.12-r2 doesn't require systemd to be present and coexists well with elogind, upcoming app-admin/abrt-2.10.9 explicitly tries to pull in systemd. Is it really necessary? That would make abrt a no-go for non-systemd installs. I'm prepared to say goodbye with tears in my eyes...

upcoming dev-libs/libreport-2.9.5 vs current dev-libs/libreport-2.0.13-r1...

It is used unconditionally as can be checked in configure.ac
