I sometimes have that I update multiple packages but somewhere in the middle I get an ewarn or some other message which I want to read, but when i read it for about 50% it just continues, so my request is this:
make.conf should contain something like TIME_TO_WAIT
or make something so I can read it afterwards but I don't want to read the ebuilds for it
