Description Erik Östlund 2004-09-26 05:14:24 UTC
I keep forgetting where my newly emerged packages are installed and running "locate -u" takes forever. I wish emerge whould update the locate database with just the relveant information.

I understand it's not your number one priority. I just thought I should add it to the bottom of the list in case you ever run out of things to do.

Here's a spontanous reaction to my idea on #gentoo:

<moreon> Tilos: thats a genious idea, and if emerge was coded in C++, I would want to do it :P

See, "genious" he said. I have no idea of who he is but he liked it too. :P

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
