Description Genus 2004-09-18 10:08:51 UTC
This ebuild seem to use an old nightly build in which type ahead find does not yet works as it should. Ctrl-g doesn't work. / doesn't bring up the search bar. I downloaded firefox 1.0pr from www.mozilla.org and it functioned as advertised. So please release a new version of the firefox 1.0pr ebuild.

I can confirm the no-workiness of type-ahead find.

I can confirm the no-workiness of type-ahead find.

Perhaps this is interesting: there are 2 different files on mozilla.org

/usr/portage/distfiles # ls -la firefox*
-rw-rw-r--  1 root portage 8144842 14. Sep 10:25 firefox-1.0PR-i686-linux-gtk2+xft.tar.gz
-rw-r--r--  1 root portage 8146003 12. Sep 05:18 firefox-1.0PRrc-i686-linux-gtk2+xft.tar.gz

BTW, type ahead works with either of them for me

This is the source emerge used:
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking firefox-1.0PR-source.tar.bz2 to /var/tmp/portage/mozilla-firefox-1.0_pre/work
>>> Source unpacked.

And I downloaded this binary from www.mozilla.org
firefox-1.0PR-i686-linux-gtk2+xft-installer.tar.gz
