Don't want to clash with your commits, so just leaving a note I've noticed a missing dep on libacl. It probably uses attr too.
Yes, thanks, this was indeed on my list of improvements. I plan on converting the fixes to patches too. Any further improvements/suggestions you have are welcome. I assume they want to stabilise 1.8 soon, but I'd be more comfortable if it got a bit more testing before that.
For completeness: I was wrong and I don't need multilib app-arch/xar. So depending on your preferences, we can either keep it multilib or revert back to native only.
