The mrtg utility is a perl script. The build process puts it perl modules in /usr/lib64/mrtg2/ on my amd64 system but the path to look for them is hardcoded in the script to look at /usr/lib/mrtg2/ instead. If I manually change the line: use lib "${FindBin::Bin}${main::SL}..${main::SL}lib${main::SL}mrtg2"; to use lib "${FindBin::Bin}${main::SL}..${main::SL}lib64${main::SL}mrtg2"; the script starts to work. A search revealed that this has been reported back in 2006 here https://bugs.gentoo.org/143982 but that bug was dismissed as invalid at the time. Dear jer, please use GLEP 66 tags as I have advised you to before. Furthermore, your summary line is too long, which has been highlighted by mgorny earlier. The summary line would be a lot shorter had you used GLEP 66 tags. Please use these new tags, that also have git receive hooks to close bugs etc. like the rest of us.
