I was updating and old computer and I noticed that "gcr" support in nm-applet was disabled by default. Supposedly it's for: - - gcr : Enable advanced certificate chooser, requires app-crypt/gcr But, on a gnome setup, gcr is already installed by basic things like gnome-shell, hence, I think we should enable this by default. If we want to avoid gcr to be pulled on non-gnome setups, I would suggest to enable it in out gnome profiles then instead of inside the ebuild. What do you prefer?
I'd start with thinking if it should even be IUSE=gcr or maybe something else :)
Maybe "crypto"? :/
Yeah, I don't think the USE flag name is appropriate. Other than that, it should indeed be enabled by default in the gnome profile. What I couldn't figure out for the name of the flag was the exact meaning of "advanced certificate chooser". Maybe it is not worth having this optional at all.
