This is related to some font set, not XDG_ dirs... I would open a separate bug report then

the other bug was related with exporting XDG_ dirs to a different directory, that was fixed using xdg.eclass But this new sandbox bug is completely unrelated with that... we will need to investigate what happens with that fonts then and that is not related with the original bug report (and neither has the same fix)
