i tried several config files (even from scratch) and one from a working linux-22.214.171.124-ck6. startup works without any problem, but i get no mouse or keyboard support. i'm suspecting it's a /dev problem because the only error message i see is: "/dev/vesafb could not be loaded" just befor the login prompt.
