I just tried to use google drive from libreoffice. According to google security notification I successfully logged in, and then I confirmed on google page it's my device but after entering master password in libreoffice to remember google credentials I got "General Input Output error" and no remote files list. After some googling... https://www.reddit.com/r/libreoffice/comments/4npcei/general_input_output_error_while_using_google/ https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97898 it seems the problem is rather in Gentoo Reproducible: Always
I don't see how it is special to Gentoo since people are reporting it all over the place, except for the TDF shipped LibreOffice binaries where they apply their own patches. libcmis has not done a release for a long time and we have a snapshot, the last release is definitely broken.

If there's no source published, we should probably prod the TDF a bit about it.
Changes in libcmis git. No new release yet. A recent snapshot would help. https://github.com/tdf/libcmis/commit/f7466a849949f987dd47f2e0bb3a3df0c8cac4e4 " Merge pull request #43 from caolanm/merge_libreoffice_modifications Merge libreoffice modifications"
Those changes are already contained in the currently bundled libcmis copy with >=LO-7.1.6.
