trying to run dangerdeep, after choosing to "Show vessels", it crashes; it also crashes trying to start any mission

see the console output below ... and please tell me if you need some more info to debug (not sure if the usual 'emerge --info' or so would be of any help here?)

BTW, looking at SourceForge, there is some little bugfixing activity in git (not svn, although the homepage links svn), maybe it'd be easier to use recent development snapshot instead of trying to keep this 0.3 zombie alive?

although the game seems pretty dead, there's "new" version 0.4.0_pre3327 ... wouldn't that be worth trying instead of removing it?
