This one should be easy since the 7.1.0 patchset (v1.1) still applies. I've had 7.2.0 in my local overlay for a few days now and it's working fine; all I had to do was explicitly declare the patchset version by adding PATCH_GCC_VER="7.1.0". Built various packages, new kernel etc. without problems.

I just edit 7.1.0 ebuild to build 7.2.0 and it worked just fine.
