Is there any possibility of unmasking the newer mdadm versions? Of particular interest to me are the bug fixes, and support for features such as the use of partitioned md devices, and raid6. As it stands the 1.2.0 version is over a year old now, and 1.7.0 is the latest stable release according to the mdadm homepage. I understand that while I can unmask those myself, I think it would be beneficial to everyone that newer revs are unmasked. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge -pk mdadm 2. continues to give revision 1.2.0 because newer revisions are masked 3. help permanently unmask newer revisions Actual Results: see above, request to unmask newer mdadm versions Expected Results: unmask the newer mdadm version
