Invoking  glue  fails with
pkg_resources.DistributionNotFound: The 'xlrd>=1.0' distribution was not found and is required by glueviz

dev-python/xlrd-1.0.0 is not in the tree, yet.
Still, if one installs dev-python/xlrd-1.0.0 
then glue fails with another problem:
pkg_resources.DistributionNotFound: The 'glue-vispy-viewers>=0.6' distribution was not found and is required by glueviz

I have no idea how to install glue-vispy-viewers.
So, I have given up
