So this is a duplicate of bug 595734, except we didn't fix 2.8 in there when the report was against 2.8.
I'm still not very inclined to care, but maybe Soap does.
But what is pulling in wxGTK:2.8 for you, that we can nudge to use 3.0?
Comment 4 Mart Raudsepp gentoo-dev 2016-10-05 22:41:12 UTC
ok, this is some copy-paste fail between the two open bug tabs.
I meant bug 592442
Comment 5 Mart Raudsepp gentoo-dev 2016-10-05 23:00:40 UTC
Oh, as Arfrever pointed out to me on IRC, Soap did fix 2.8 as well, but you are mixing keywords.
wxGTK-2.8.12.1-r2 is fixed, which is available in ~amd64; but you are using gcc6 with stable amd64. This is VERY VERY BAD, because many MANY things are broken with gcc6 in stable tree, which have fixes in ~arch. Fix your system keywords please, thanks. I.e, don't test gcc6 with stable tree, or use testing tree with gcc6 if adventerous.

> So this is a duplicate of bug 592442

Oops, sorry. My searches didn't spot that one, it's sometimes hard to find bugs when we don't have a standard format for subject strings. Bugzie also really wants to hide bugs marked as Resolved.

Currently keyworded versions of media-sound/audacity[X] depend on x11-libs/wxGTK:2.8.
