Description m.manico 2016-09-24 17:59:30 UTC
Please bump stable arandr to version 1.9 to make it support xrandr 1.5

The following link points to arandr's git repo:
https://alioth.debian.org/scm/browser.php?group_id=100834

Version 1.9 will support xrandr 1.5 and it looks safe to bump version
Comment 1 m.manico 2016-09-25 09:04:28 UTC
fwiw I'm using aranrd 1.9 and I did not notice any abnormal behaviour
Comment 2 Johannes Willem (Hans) Fernhout 2016-11-24 05:01:29 UTC
Confirmed: neither arandr-1,7 which is the stable version, not arandr-1.8 work at this moment because of a runtime check for xrandr 1.2/1.3. The older versions produce an ugly Python error in a console (or nothing happens when started from a GUI).
Comment 3 mimosinnet 2016-11-24 10:33:06 UTC
I have to use:

arandr --force-version

to to start arandr with the the stable x11-misc/arandr-0.1.7.1
