Stable on alpha.

I think we should strongly consider masking the test suite on cryptography. It assumes you have multiple backends installed (and fails if you don't). Docs on what constitutes a backend is tricky to find, but near as I can tell, all we have for Gentoo is OpenSSL. The only other backend I could find mention of is CommonCrypto. According to the cryptography docs,
