I would suggest this would go into media-libs/gigi-cvs ..

I can't get that cvs version to compile, so no ebuild of it for a moment.. I'll try to make an ebuild out of 0.5 version instead and see if it works with Freeorion.

I can't get any version of GiGi compile.. it seems that we must wait for new version and then have a look at it again..

gigi-20050808.ebuild [new ebuild, straight from cvs]

I've managed to create this ebuild some time ago, and hopefully, it should work
- testing needed.

Note: as in ebuild, it WON'T WORK with boost-1.33.x (won't compile)
it also requires a patch, which i'll include in like 5 minutes.

gig-sconspatch.diff [patch to make scons play nice with sandbox]

required for a clean compile - without it scons will try to put .sconsign files
(containing file hashes) in some weird places, resulting in a sandbox error.

I managed to install GiGi 0.7.0 using the attached ebuild & patches ... though no luck getting Freeorion working so far

GiGi 0.7.0 is not compatible with boost >=1.36

I wrote a new live-ebuild.
It takes advantage of the new cmake build-system. Builds fine against boosts 1.37, 1.41 and 1.42.
