I am unsure what the problem is, it is >= and any slot.

The :* is likely wrong in any case, it doesn't mean "any slot" it means no need to rebuild on subslot change: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Sub-slots_and_Slot-Operators . I take it guilde ABI might change between versions so rebuild is needed on upgrade?

if you are maintainer of guile and state that * should be modified to =, no problem.
however, it does not actually the subject of this bug...

Agreed; since I'm not the maintainer and don't know it sufficiently I'll leave it to OP to comment :)

the bug is invalid. Also, finally guile-2 went to the same slot as 1.8

Anyway, feel free to drop :*, the problem is that I don't know if this needs to be rebuilt when guile subslot changes (I cannot downgrade again from guile-2 to 1.8... if anyone can still update and check... it would be as easy as update from guile-1.8 to 2 and see if gnutls[guile] needs to be rebuilt by emerge @preserved-rebuild :/

Removed the slot operator from guile.
