We use to use the virtualbox-guest-additions package for Gentoo guests.  This ebuild has not been updated for any of the 5.X releases.  Is there something else we should be using or is this an oversight?

See bug #582078 which needs to get fixed first...

Have had the same trouble for a long time...

So exceptionally I tried to use all 5.1.4 virtualbox versions from the sabayon overlay, which seems to work fine for me.

Is there a good reason I'm not aware of, to not overtake it to our tree?

Basically what they did was bumping the packages without a real fix for bug #582078.
