From kde-apps/konsole-16.07.80, transparency doesn't work anymore.
In the settings it says that konsole has been started before the desktop effects were enabled and should be restarted. That has no effect.

not really. Starting a new session with a newly added user, konsole is not transparent. This doesn't change at all, no matter what transparency settings I set or restart session and/or konsole. Desktop effect in general are working.

It still doesn't work here with konsole-16.08.0.

The commit got in after 16.08.0 tagging so you'll get it with the first bugfix pointrelease.

16.08.1 has arrived in kde overlay, transparency works for me now.
