Since I can't attach the first attachment (entry-1dc900.c), I'll put it in a gist.

If files exceed maximum attachment size, you can compress them.

I can confirm with clang-3.7.1 (and mesa-11.0.6). There's a patch here:
https://abf.io/openmandriva/mesa/blob/master/mesa-11.1.1-clang-3.8.patch

mentioned here:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89599#c2

not sure if it was ever submitted to upstream mesa. In any case, it lets it build for me.

As of 12.0.1, the patch has not been applied yet.

https://cgit.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/tree/src/mapi/entry_x86-64_tls.h

Should we wait for upstream or apply the patch ourselves?
Comment 7 Matt Turner gentoo-dev 2016-07-09 21:49:12 UTC
I do not want to carry patches that can go upstream.

I apparently just need to, for what seems like the millionth time, try to reproduce this failure.

https://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/mesa-dev/2016-July/122804.html works for me, with mesa 11.0.6 and clang 3.7.1.
Comment 9 Matt Turner gentoo-dev 2016-07-21 17:45:49 UTC
I've pushed the patch upstream and tagged it for mesa-stable@. I expect it to be in mesa-12.0.2.

How would you feel about backporting that patch for older versions of mesa? Or are you planning to mark this fixed when mesa-12.0.2 is released/in tree.
Comment 11 Matt Turner gentoo-dev 2017-01-26 23:18:03 UTC
Fixed in mesa-13.0.0.
