The symlink for libcurl.so.2 is donne on / instead of /usr/lib/
At the beeing of the merge after the copile part this is easy seen:

making executable: /usr/lib/libcurl.so.3.0.0
>>> Completed installing into /var/tmp/portage/curl-7.12.0/image/

>>> Merging net-misc/curl-7.12.0 to /
>>> /libcurl.so.2 -> /usr/lib/libcurl.so.3

Above line.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge /usr/portage/net-misc/curl/curl-7.12.0.ebuild
2.
3.

Actual Results:  
Aplications like amule don't starting stating that libcurl.so.2 is missing

Expected Results:  
ln -s /usr/lib/libcurl.so.3 /usr/lib/libcurl.so.2
