A few days ago I decided to switch to ld.gold as a linker. To check the system, I rebuilt the whole tree: emerge -1NDuvea @world --with-bdeps y --complete-graph y --keep-going I bumped in some issue (like fuse and gold, fixed switching the linker back to ld.bfd and then again to ld.gold) but the system built fine. As in normal use, I issued the command sshfs quicheeater:. Remote where quicheeater is a host defined in .ssh/config, and Remote a local directory. The only message I see is fuse: unknown option `' any suggestions? emerge --info Portage 2.3.0_rc1 (python 2.7.11-final-0, default/linux/amd64/13.0, gcc-5.3.0, glibc-2.23-r2, 4.6.1 x86_64) I forgot to add that sshfs goes back to work with ld.bfd. Added as block for #269315
I can reproduce this in sshfs 2.8, but 2.5 (current stable) is fine. Running under strace shows it's actually printing some binary to stdout in that error, though I have no idea what it could mean: write(2, "fuse: unknown option `\3'\n", 25) = 25
I'm unable to reproduce this so it's probably fixed by binutils-2.26.1 similar to bug #595262.
