Description Dan Barowy 2004-07-13 16:45:28 UTC
gtkpod 0.80 emerges without any errors but segfaults on execution.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Emerge gtkpod 0.80 on PPC
2. Run gtkpod
3. Watch gtkpod not work.

Actual Results:
dbarowy@arda dbarowy $ gtkpod
Segmentation fault

Expected Results:
This software should run on PPC, as it has in previous versions.

gtkpod 0.70 and 0.72 ran without any trouble. Interestingly, after unemerging
gtkpod 0.80, I am not able to successfully emerge 0.72 either with or without
USE="mpeg4". gtkpod 0.80 fails to run regardless of whether or not it was
emerged with USE="mpeg4". I have not tried re-emerging 0.70 yet.

My system (from emerge --version):
Portage 2.0.50-r9 (default-ppc-2004.1, gcc-3.3.3, glibc-2.3.3_pre20040420-r1,
2.4.22-ben2)

Thanks... I give more information if it is needed.

Please give us the output of "emerge info". Thanks.

(gtkpod 0.80 compiled fine and works here)

I compiled gtkpod 0.80.2, which runs without any segfaults. Will give him some stable lovin'.
