Description Shaun Crampton 2004-07-12 09:01:55 UTC
Using gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.7-r9 my iRiver iFP-190 is not recognised as a mass storage device (no dev node/sysfs path appears when i plug it in). The forum thread below appears to suggest this affects all iRiver portables in the range.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge/build kernel 2.6 with support for mass-storage
2. plug in iFP-190
3.

Actual Results:
nothing

Expected Results:
Created a /dev node and sysfs entry

There is a thread with patch here

Comment 1 Greg Kroah-Hartman (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-07-12 22:37:57 UTC
This is a problem with the main kernel, not the gentoo kernel.

Can you please file a bug upstream at bugzilla.kernel.org for this, as there is
nothing we can do here.
