your 'emerge info' output
and please follow the instructions in the message: "Include your config.layout."

a complete log between 'emerge apache' and the crash would be useful as well.

I don't get it. Updated world etc.
Ran it again as 'emerge -v apache >> <file>'
And it worked fine this time.
I changed a couple use flags too.
emerge info looks like this:

If you still want th output file, I saved it to: http://psyko.servehttp.com/Music/apacheoutput.txt
(Web server I have at my dad)
I'm kind of a newb. Fourth day with Gentoo. I'm not sure what/where config.layout is.
I guess this cancels out my bug.

For future reference, what/where is config.layout?

Thanks
Cam
Comment 4 Elfyn McBratney (beu) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-04-23 20:02:30 UTC
The config.layout file would have been in /var/tmp/portage/apache-<version>/work/httpd-<version>/config.log.

Closing. Please re-open if this is still an issue with newer apache versions in portage.
