Description Michael Orlitzky gentoo-dev 2015-06-29 05:31:41 UTC
x86, amd64: This revbump makes no changes whatsoever to the ebuild, it was only to pull in the changes to the conf file made for bug #553296. So, I've filed it without waiting the usual 30 days (new stable users are already getting the new conf file).

hppa: We have an old version 0.996b of rbldnsd that is stable for hppa. But newer versions are blocked on keywords for pydns:2 (see bug #532318). I would like to get rid of the old version eventually, are you willing to revisit that stabilization?

Everyone: it has a test suite; if that passes, the package is fine. But please double-check the LISTEN=... syntax in the conf file that I just changed.

Thank you!

I don't see why you went through all the trouble of explaining all this. A new dependency needed keywording and that was done. Then the newer ebuild with the added dependency needed to go stable so naturally the new dependency needs stable marking, too. Why would it make sense to first mark a new dependency and then drop keywording on the ebuild that depends on it because the dependency isn't stable yet?

Jeroen, can you please check this? I was about to remove the old versions but I still see ~hppa in rbldnsd-0.997a-r2.ebuild.
