The manual should be more fool-proof. The manual instructs me to do:

$ gpg --keyserver hkps.pool.sks-keyservers.net --recv-keys 0xBB572E0E2D182910
gpg: keyserver receive failed: Address family not supported by protocol
$

After some poking around I found I could better use a different server then the one from Gentoo ;-) . probably it does not some communication protocol or my client does not support it? How to check? anyway, I am just a poor user.

$ gpg --keyserver hkp://subkeys.pgp.net --recv-keys 0xBB572E0E2D182910

Actually I came to the page from https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Handbook:AMD64/Installation/Media
Comment 2 Martin Mokrejš 2015-05-20 18:39:21 UTC
One more related to https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Handbook:AMD64/Installation/Media :

$ gpg --recv-keys 0xBB572E0E2D182910
gpg: keyserver receive failed: No keyserver available
$

Seems I never configured some default servers for gnupg to use.
