Hi, @proxy-maint team: Please rename shorewall-4.6.8.1.ebuild to shorewall-4.6.9.ebuild. I won't stabilize 4.6.8.1... Thanks! Reproducible: Always
Before I do, I think you mean "Please copy shorewall-4.6.8.1.ebuild to shorewall-4.6.9.ebuild. Also; ~/cvsPortage/gentoo-x86/net-firewall/shorewall $ ebuild shorewall-4.6.9.ebuild clean install * Removing unused "/mnt/gen2/TmpDir/portage/net-firewall/shorewall-4.6.9/image/etc/logrotate.d/shorewall-init" ... >>> Completed installing shorewall-4.6.9 into /mnt/gen2/TmpDir/portage/net-firewall/shorewall-4.6.9/image/ * QA Notice: systemd units using /etc/conf.d detected: * usr/lib/systemd/system/shorewall6.service:EnvironmentFile=/etc/conf.d/shorewall6 * usr/lib/systemd/system/shorewall.service:EnvironmentFile=/etc/conf.d/shorewall * See: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Systemd/conf.d_files ecompressdir: bzip2 -9 /usr/share/doc ecompressdir: bzip2 -9 /usr/share/man needs addressing first. It may be fine but systemd is not my field.
(In reply to Ian Delaney from comment #1) > Before I do, I think you mean "Please copy shorewall-4.6.8.1.ebuild to > shorewall-4.6.9.ebuild. No, I wrote *rename* instead of *copy* to indicate that the prev. version (shorewall-4.6.8.1) should be replaced by the new version. > Also; > > ~/cvsPortage/gentoo-x86/net-firewall/shorewall $ ebuild > shorewall-4.6.9.ebuild clean install > > * Removing unused > "/mnt/gen2/TmpDir/portage/net-firewall/shorewall-4.6.9/image/etc/logrotate.d/ > shorewall-init" ... > >>> Completed installing shorewall-4.6.9 into /mnt/gen2/TmpDir/portage/net-firewall/shorewall-4.6.9/image/ This elog comes from the ebuild. This is *wanted*. I wrote that message. > * QA Notice: systemd units using /etc/conf.d detected: > * > usr/lib/systemd/system/shorewall6.service:EnvironmentFile=/etc/conf.d/ > shorewall6 > * > usr/lib/systemd/system/shorewall.service:EnvironmentFile=/etc/conf.d/ > shorewall > * See: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Systemd/conf.d_files > ecompressdir: bzip2 -9 /usr/share/doc > ecompressdir: bzip2 -9 /usr/share/man > > needs addressing first. It may be fine but systemd is not my field. ...no, every time the same problem, see the discussion in https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo-portage-rsync-mirror/pull/101 This is a warning which doesn't apply to shorewall. In summary: It is upstream which is reusing files from confdir for both init systems. Because I don't use systemd I won't patch upstream because I cannot test. Patches are welcome. Remember, this is not a new version, this is just a bug fix bump. So I really don't understand why this is causing so many problems ...
