Since biblatex-3.0 is now in tree and requires biber-2.0 to work properly with biber backend, biber-2.0 should be available in the portage tree too. Biblatex Release Notes state: > RELEASE NOTES FOR VERSION 3.0 > * Biber version 2.0 is required for biblatex 3.0 Reproducible: Always
Actually, the bugfix release 2.1 is out now, so 2.0 can be skipped. (I can confirm this issue; I'll have to mask biblatex-3.0 for now.)
Created attachment 402990 [details] biber-2.1.ebuild the attached ebuild for biber-2.1 works for me. changes i made to biber-1.9.ebuild: - added github homepage - download tar.gz from github - added dependency for dev-perl/Text-Roman - workdir parameter changed - biblatex dependency changed version >= 3.0 i commented out the drop-mozilla-ca.patch since i dont even understand the reason for this path. anyhow, if this patch is not applied, then a dependency on dev-perl/Mozilla-CA should be added. otherwise the patch file must be updated. i hope this is helpful for creating a working ebuild.
Thanks for your help! Please add a diff instead of a full ebuild, that makes it easier to spot the changes. We don't want to depend on Mozilla-CA, which means the patch needs an update.
I've updated the patch. Still requires some work, as we need a more recent Unicode::Collate. With the one available in tree, some tests fail.
