Upstream released a new minor bugfix release please add it to the tree. The usual way to copy the ebuild to the new version works as expected and compiles fine on amd64 under the current mostly stable gentoo. Reproducible: Always
Can you give me an assurance that you have double checked all deps in RDEPEND="dev-libs/glib:2 x11-libs/cairo x11-libs/gtk+:2 x11-libs/gdk-pixbuf x11-libs/pango lua? ( >=dev-lang/lua-5:0= )" DEPEND="${RDEPEND} virtual/pkgconfig >=sys-apps/sed-4" and no changes are required? Usually a copy paste rename works despite version updates being listed and needing setting in the copied-renamed ebuild. Then they turn up down the track as bugs filed by users reporting version failures. repoman is ineffective in this regard. Both lua and sed are prone to this border versioning in a version bump.
I haven't double checked it, since upstream does not mention any new requirements and on the website is mentioned that it needs gtk+-2.8 or newer. And additionally that the develepment system ist an ancient ubuntu 10.4. (1) >=x11-libs/gtk+-2.8:2 is maybe worth to change. At the weekend I'll check the sources (1) http://www.scintilla.org/SciTEDownload.html
That's fine. As long as you have run a check and done your best, I or someone from the herd will commit.
Took a look on the sources, found no dep to upgrade, because older version issues are handled via source code #defines. ervin
