Description silverwerwolf13 2015-04-05 04:56:04 UTC
Well... I don't know what most of this is called, but when I try to merge Skype it pulls in a bunch of the old "app-emulation/emul-linux-x86" pakages which I understand mess up the system now.

https://bpaste.net/show/4d85080ef374

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Emerge Skype.
Actual Results:
Skype pulled in a bunch of obsolete pakages that conflict with the new API.

Expected Results:
Skype installs.

How I envy those who can give M$ the boot.

Could you also learn that you should attach any logs to the bug, not put in pastebin links ?

Anyway, this is not a bug, not really.
Due to "not enough people in the herd", nothing >=qt-4.8.6-r1 has been stabilized yet...as it's been already noted a few times on the forum.

Ah, I see. Sorry I'm just a noob about all this.

As news says you just need to install some packages with multilib (abi_x86_32 enabled) and remove emul*. There is probably no other way.
