Description Juergen Rose 2015-04-01 08:05:56 UTC
If I try to add a name to an existing GnuPG key:
  GnuPG key
      Eigenschaften (Properties)
         Name hinzufuegen (Add name)
            I add a name and a e-mail-address

I get the message:
Die Benutzerkennung konnte nicht hinzugefuegt werden
      (User identity could not added)
    Allgemeiner Fehler (General Error)

I the terminal window where I started seahorse, I see:

          rose@lynx:/home/rose(1)$ seahorse

If I try the same at the command line:

rose@lynx:/home/rose(4)$ gpg --edit-key "Juergen Rose <rose@rz.uni-potsdam.de>"
gpg (GnuPG) 2.0.27; Copyright (C) 2015 Free Software Foundation, Inc.

gpg> adduid
Ihr Name ("Vorname Nachname"): Juergen Rose

it works.

What version of app-crypt/gnupg are you using?

gnupg-2.1.x has known problems with current gnome-keyring ebuilds.

When I wrote the bug report, it was gnupg-2.0.27, now it is gnupg-2.1.3-r3.
I did not yet check, if it works now with gnupg-2.1.3-r3.
