dev-cpp/xsd-4.0.0 has been out since July 2014. Could it please be bumped in the Portage tree? It adds a new flag "--std" that is used by the libdigidocpp library of the Estonian ID-card infrastructure (https://github.com/open-eid/libdigidocpp).

Few notes what's required to get xsd-4.0.0 going:
  * requires dev-cpp/libxsd-frontend-2.0
  * new dependency of dev-cpp/libcutl (new ebuild for http://www.codesynthesis.com/projects/libcutl/ )

There is an ebuild for dev-cpp/xsd-4.0.0 available in the esteid overlay at https://github.com/urmet/esteid-overlay/tree/master/dev-cpp/xsd, more specifically, https://github.com/urmet/esteid-overlay/blob/3c8559368f51a6e1efc14e3bdf5fca11650e30bc/dev-cpp/xsd/xsd-4.0.0.ebuild
