Description Michael Orlitzky gentoo-dev 2015-02-23 18:48:46 UTC
Hello, I've recently committed the net-analyzer/monitoring-plugins package which "replaces" nagios-plugins. If you aren't familiar with the history, it suffices to know that (at the moment, at least), they're drop-in replacements for one another.

For now, icinga and icinga2 should probably accept either to satisfy USE=plugins. The upstream mission statements/goals suggest that you should prefer monitoring-plugins as a safer bet in the future, but who knows what will happen.

does it install to the same directory?

>>> myconf+=" --with-plugin-dir=/usr/$(get_libdir)/nagios/plugins"

Yes, the ebuilds are mostly identical.
