adodb 4.23 ebuild with docs
Comment 5 Enderson Tadeu S. Maia (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-29 12:08:14 UTC
It's 4.23 and not 4.2.3 right?
Comment 6 theboywho 2004-06-30 11:12:59 UTC
Yeh sorry it is 4.23, but i went with what other people had done for the ebuild naming - ive fixed the descriptions above as well.
Comment 7 theboywho 2004-06-30 11:52:19 UTC
In this case, where the app version number is 4.23, should the ebuild have that version number as well? Ive added an ebuild that matches the actual ADODB version number now. Ive tested it. It appears to work. If necessary I could maintain this ebuild.
Comment 8 theboywho 2004-06-30 11:54:01 UTC
Just saving the ebuild as adodb-4.23.ebuild works
Comment 9 theboywho 2004-07-06 02:26:23 UTC
Any chance this might enter portage
Comment 10 John Nilsson 2004-07-06 18:07:36 UTC
saving it as adodb-4.50.ebuild works great too!
Comment 11 John Nilsson 2004-07-06 18:17:01 UTC
About versions...

1.2.3 != 1.23.0

1.9 is not 90% of 2.0, the next release could just as probable be 1.10...

in conclusion: 1.2.3 < 1.22 < 1.23
Comment 12 theboywho 2004-07-07 06:48:04 UTC
Ah ok, i get the version numbers now!

The ebuild works with 4.50 for me too!
Comment 13 Jay Pfeifer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-07-24 22:07:53 UTC
i put adodb-4.5.0 in portage. closing.

Jay
Comment 14 John Nilsson 2004-07-25 09:52:12 UTC
could you make that 4.50?
Comment 15 Jay Pfeifer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-07-26 17:48:02 UTC
lol. done. 4.50 is in portage..
